Snow Days

 

 

What better way to spend a day off… a day when you’re snowed in and cut off from the rest of the world… wait a sec… cut off from the rest of the world?  Not with IM and e-mail and online chat rooms and cell phones and text messaging and… webcams.  When you have a few friends with webcams, a boring day can quickly turn into… a boring day with other people who are just as bored as you are.  But the novelty of new technology can keep you interested long enough to do things like… wearing silly outfits and smacking your buttcheeks…  And webcams are odd because they are so personal yet impersonal.  For instance, you have it on and people have a window into your home, your personal space.  And there you are sitting in front of the computer with your jammies and woofing hair and food and scthuff all over the place and you don’t give a damn cause it’s yer berfday.  But I’m sure most of us would clean ourselves and our place up if we knew that someone was actually coming over.  Ah well, whatever.  I just can’t wait until this bit of technology becomes so commonplace that my fam and I can communicate with my grandparents in the Philippines whenever we feel like it.
